About Us

Through programs like Future Candidate TrainingGet Local, and Engaging Women of Color Leadership, Lillian’s List Foundation helps women:

Understand the political process and issues impacting reproductive freedom and gender equity.

Build leadership skills like fundraising, public speaking, and campaign planning.

Gain confidence and connections to step into public leadership roles, whether as candidates, campaign staff, or community advocates.

The Foundation’s goal is to create a strong, diverse pipeline of women leaders ready to run for and win elected office at every level—starting in local government and moving up to the legislature—so that North Carolina’s leadership truly reflects its people.

“Having served as a county commissioner, I understand first-hand the importance of having progressive women serve at every level of government. I credit much of my own success as a candidate to the training, resources, and sisterhood provided by Lillian’s List. Accordingly, I’m so excited to lead the effort to elect women to local offices across my home state.”
